URL: Uniform Resource Locator. The URL is the specific "web address" of a page. Typical examples are www.whitehouse.gov; www.whitehouse.com (a porn site, that, in the Clinton years, featured the "Intern of the Month"); http://intranet.ulondon.edu; etc.
